There is plenty of superb walking locally from gentle ambles along the rivers, coastline and through the forests to serious hill walking, so take your pick. A good place to start is a walking specialist company called Walk Highlands, where you can find details of all kinds of walks to suit your interests, time and fitness. You can’t help but notice the birds of prey, seals and dolphins as you walk but if you want to see more then there are viewing points for dolphins and seals as well as operators who will take you on guided wildlife walks.
